Lesson 1
Three Little Pigs (lit. Three Baby Pig Brothers)
In a small village, there lived three baby pig brothers.
And one day, mother said,
“You guys have already so grown up. Now each of you, go build your own house and live on your own.”
The first pig was impatient.
“I want to build my house quickly and play. I think I will be able to build it quickly if I build the house with straw.”
The first pig was able to build a house soon with straw.
“Okay, it’s done. I’ve finished building my house!”
The second pig had a lazy personality.
“Such a hassle. It would be more convenient to live with mom. Why do I have to build a house?”
The second pig was able to build a house soon with wood planks.
“It’s done. I’m going to go inside the house and just take a nap.”
The third pig had a meticulous and diligent personality.
“What kind of house should I build? To build a strong house, bricks would be good, right? In order to make delicious foods to eat, I will need a chimney too.”
The third pig spent a long time and made a strong brick house.
He built a strong door and also made a window.
One day, a hungry wolf came around.
“It’s a fat pig. You will soon be my food.”
The wolf started walking around in front of the first pig’s house.
The first pig got scared and went inside the house.
“Hahaha. You think I won’t be able to catch you just because you run inside this weak house?”
(Sound of blowing wind)
When the wolf blew like wind from his mouth, the straw house was swept away in the wind.
The first pig quickly ran away to the second pig’s house.
The first pig and the second pig were trembling inside the house made of wood.
The wolf started blowing with his mouth again.
(Sound of blowing wind)
The wooden house was also swept away in the wind.
The first pig and the second pig ran away to the third pig’s house.
The third pig securely locked the door of the brick house.
“There are as many as three fat pigs. I will have to hurry up and eat them.”
(Sound of blowing wind)
But no matter how hard he blew, the brick house didn’t fly away.
The wolf decided to go into the chimney and eat the pigs.
When the third pig saw the wolf go into the chimney, he started a fire and started boiling water.
The wolf went into the chimney and fell into the hot water.
The wolf, who was really surprised, ran far away and never returned.
