Yeji: Everyone, bye!

유승완: 네? 어디에 가요, 예지 씨?
Seung-wan: What? Where are you going, Yeji?

김예지: 안녕히 가세요.
Yeji: Bye!

유승완: 무슨 소리예요? 저 안 가요!
Seung-wan: What are you talking about? I'm not leaving!

김예지: 승완 씨! 오늘은 “안녕히 가세요”, “안녕히 계세요”를 배울 거예요.
Yeji: Seung-wan! Today, we'll learn "안녕히 가세요" and "안녕히 계세요."

유승완: 아! 안녕히 가세요, 안녕히 계세요.
Seung-wan: Oh! 안녕히 가세요, 안녕히 계세요.

김예지: 만났을 때 “안녕하세요” 이렇게 인사해요.
Yeji: When you meet someone, you greet them like "안녕하세요."

유승완: 맞아요! 안녕하세요. 그리고 집에 갈 때, 헤어질 때 “안녕히 가세요”, “안녕히 계세요” 이렇게 인사해요.
Seung-wan: Right! 안녕하세요. And when you go home, when you part ways, "안녕히 가세요", "안녕히 계세요", you greet them like this.

김예지: 네, 그런데 2개예요? 왜 2개예요?
Yeji: Okay, but are there two expressions? Why are there two expressions?

유승완: 맞아요! 2개예요. 저는 여기에 있고, 다른 사람이 가면 “안녕히 가세요” 이렇게 말해요.
Seung-wan: You're right! There are two expressions. When I stay and the other person leaves, you say "안녕히 가세요."

김예지: 아, 다른 사람이 가면, “안녕히 ‘가’세요.” 그런데 다른 사람이 가지 않으면 뭐라고 말해요? 다른 사람은 안 가고, 저만 가면 뭐라고 말해요?
Yeji: Oh, when the other person leaves, (you say) "안녕히 '가'세요." But what if the other doesn't leave, what do you say? When the other person doesn't leave, and only I leave, what do you say?

유승완: 그러면 “안녕히 계세요” 이렇게 말해요. “계세요”, ‘계시다’는 ‘있다'는 뜻이에요. ‘있다'의 존댓말이에요. 있다, 계시다. 그래서 “안녕히 계세요”는 “잘 있어요” 이런 뜻이에요.
Seung-wan: Then, you say "안녕히 계세요." "계세요", "계시다" mean "to be." It's the polite form of "있다." So, "안녕히 계세요" means "Take care."

김예지: 아, 다른 사람이 안 가고, 저만 가면 “안녕히 계세요.” 그리고 다른 사람이 집에 가면 “안녕히 가세요.” 맞아요?
Yeji: Oh, when the other person doesn't leave, and only l leave, (you say) "안녕히 계세요." And when the other person goes home, it's "안녕히 가세요, right?

유승완: 네, 맞아요!
Seung-wan: Yes, right!

김예지: 그러면 다른 사람도 가고, 저도 가면 어떻게 말해요?
Yeji: Then, when the other person leaves, and also I leave, what do you say?

유승완: 그래도 “안녕히 가세요” 이렇게 말해요. 다른 사람이 가면 그냥 “안녕히 가세요”예요!
Seung-wan: Still, you say "안녕히 가세요." When the other person leaves, it's always "안녕히 가세요"!

김예지: 아! 다른 사람이 가면 “안녕히 가세요”! 좋아요! 승완 씨, 안녕히 가세요!
Yeji: Ah! When the other person leaves, it's "안녕히 가세요"! Great! Seung-wan, bye!

유승완: 저 아직 안 가요! 여기 있을 거예요!
Seung-wan: I'm not leaving, yet! I'm going to be here!

김예지: 안녕히 가세요!
Yeji: Bye!

유승완: 왜 인사해요! 안 갈 거예요. 대화 들어야 돼요.
Seung-wan: Why are you saying "bye"! I'm not leaving. We should listen to a dialogue.
