Yeji: Okay, everyone. Today's expression is "헷갈렸어요." Seung-wan, what does "헷갈리다" mean?

유승완: ‘헷갈리다'는 ‘머릿속에 여러 개가 있어서 잘 모르다’ 이런 뜻이에요. 예를 들어서, 톡톡 여러분이 ‘기쁘다' 이 단어를 봤어요. 그런데 뜻이 기억이 안 나요. 기분이 좋다? 기분이 나쁘다? 슬프다? 머릿속에 여러 의미가 있어요. 그래서 잘 모르겠어요. 그럴 때 “이 단어의 뜻이 헷갈려요” 이렇게 말할 수 있어요. 이 단어의 뜻이 헷갈려요.
Seung-wan: "헷갈리다" means "There are multiple things that come to one's mind so they are not sure (which one is right)." For example, Talk-Talk, (let's say) you saw the word "기쁘다." But you can't remember its meaning. To feel good? bad? sad? There are multiple meanings in your head. So, you're not sure. Then, you can say "I'm not sure about the meaning of this word." I'm confused about the meaning of this word.

김예지: 네, 맞아요! 또, 예를 들어서, 제가 병원에 갔어요. 의사 선생님이 “내일 3시에 또 오세요" 이렇게 말했어요. 그리고 제가 병원을 나왔어요. 그런데 시간이 기억이 안 나요. 3시? 2시? 4시? 머릿속에 여러 시간이 있어서 잘 모르겠어요. 그럴 때 “의사 선생님이 말한 시간이 기억이 안 나요. 헷갈려요” 이렇게 말할 수 있어요.
Yeji: Yes, right! For another example, I went to see a doctor. The doctor said, "Come see me tomorrow again at 3 p.m." And I left the hospital. But then, I can't remember the time" 3 p.m.? 2? or 4? There are multiple times in my head so I'm not sure. Then, you can say, "I can't remember the time the doctor told me. I'm confused."

유승완: 네, 맞아요! 헷갈려요. 기억이 안 나요. 이렇게 말할 수 있어요. 음… 예지 씨는 뭐가 헷갈려요?
Seung-wan: Yes, right! I'm confused. I can't remember. You can say it like this. Hmm… Yeji, what do you (often) get confused about?

김예지: 저는… 저희 집 주소가 헷갈려요.
Yeji: I… I can't quite remember my home address.
