‘투척’은 물건을 던지는 걸 말해요.
투척 means to throw an object.

‘투척용’이라고 말을 하면 물건을 던지기 위해 사용된다는 말이에요.
If you say 투척용, it means the object is designed to be thrown.

그래서 여기에서는 불이 났을 때 던져서 불을 끄는 소화기를 ‘투척용 소화기’라고 말해요.
So we call the fire extinguisher that we throw to extinguish fire a throwable fire extinguisher.

함은 옷이나 물건을 넣을 수 있도록 네모지게 만든 통을 말을 하는데요.
함 refers to a square box where people can put clothes or any other objects.

그래서 불이 났을 때 던져서 불을 끄는 소화기들을 모아 놓은 통을 ‘투척용 소화기 함’이라고 말해요.
So we call the box where the throwable fire extinguishers are stored a throwable fire extinguisher box.

‘상단’이라는 말은 위에 있는 단을 말을 해요.
상단 means the upper part.

소화기 함 옆에 지금 보이진 않는데 망치가 있는 것 같아요.
I guess there is a hammer next to the fire extinguisher box though we don’t see it now.

그 망치로 유리를 치면 어떻게 되겠어요?
What would happen if I hit the glass with the hammer?

유리가 깨지겠죠?
The glass will be broken, right?

‘충격’이라는 말은 어떤 물체에 갑자기 힘을 주는 걸 말해요.
충격 means to apply a sudden, physical impact on an object.

그리고 또 다른 뜻으로는 슬픈 일이나 사고가 생겼을 때 마음에 큰 자극이 생겼을 때도 충격이라고 말을 하고요.
And it has another meaning of being psychologically shocked when there is a sorrowful event or accident.

예를 들어 “할아버지가 갑자기 돌아가셔서 큰 충격을 받았어요.”
For example, “I was very shocked as my grandfather passed away unexpectedly.”

이런 식으로 사용돼요.
This is how it is used.

이럴 때는 마음에 큰 자극이 가해진 거죠.
In this situation, you are psychologically shocked.

“소화기를 꺼낸다.”
“Take out the fire extinguisher.”

그리고 “화재 장소 상부에 던진다.”
And then “throw it at the upper part of the fire.”

‘화재 장소’는 불이 난 곳을 말을 해요.
화재 장소 means a place where there is a fire.

‘상부’는 위쪽 부분을 말을 하는 거고요.
상부 refers to the upper part.

불이 난 곳의 위쪽 부분에 투척용 소화기를 던져서 불을 끄라는 이야기예요.
It means ‘extinguish the fire by throwing a fire extinguish towards the upper part of the fire.’
