Expressions that contain ㅅ:
상상 [상상] imagination
선생님 [선생님] teacher
생선 [생선] fish
시 [시] poem
Expressions that contain ㅆ:
쓰레기 [쓰레기] garbage
씨 [씨] seed
써요. [써요.] It’s bitter. / I write.
Expression that uses both ㅅ and ㅆ:
새싹 [새싹] sprout
Expressions where the only difference are these consonants, ㅅ, and ㅆ:
사요. [사요.] I buy it. / Buy it.
싸요. [싸요.] It’s cheap.
서요. [서요.] I stand up. / Stand up.
써요. [써요.] It’s bitter. / I write.
싱싱 [싱싱] fresh
씽씽 [씽씽] fast
