Expressions that begin in ㄴ:
- 누구 [누구] who
- 누구 있어요? [누구 이써요?] Who is there?
- 내가 [내가] I (am)
- 내가 제일 잘나가. [내가 제일 잘라가.] I am the best.
Expressions with two ㄴs:
- 누나 [누나] older sister (for males only)
- 언니 [언니] older sister (for females only)
- 언니, 맛있는 거 사 주세요. [언니, 마신는 거 사 주세요.] Unnie, please buy me something yummy.
When the second syllable of a word begins with ㄴ:
- 저는 [저는] as for me
- 우리는 [우리는] as for us
- 저는 미국 사람입니다. [저는 미국 사라밈니다.] (As for me,) I am an American.
- 우리는 이따가 갈게. [우리는 이따가 갈께.] (As for us,) we’ll go after a while.
Sentence examples that contain more than one of these sounds:
1. 내가 아는 누난데, 진짜 잘나가.
[내가 아는 누난데, 진짜 잘라가.]
I know her, and she’s really popular.
2. 언니, 나랑 나비 모양 눈사람 만들래?
[언니, 나랑 나비 모양 눈:싸람 만들래?]
Unnie, do you want to make a butterfly shaped snowman with me?
