Episode 4 - 여름휴가 Summer Vacation

경은: 주연 씨, 여름에 어디 가요?
Kyeong-Eun: Jooyeon, will you go somewhere this summer?

주연: 아무 데도 안 가요.
Jooyeon: I’m not going anywhere.

경은: 그럼 여름휴가 안 가요?
Kyeong-Eun: So you won’t go on summer vacation?

주연: 네. 저는 여름에는 휴가를 안 가요. 여름에는 사람이 너무 많아요. 그래서 휴가를 가고 싶지 않아요. 언니는요?
Jooyeon: No, I don’t go on vacation in the summer. There are too many people in the summer. So I don’t want to go on vacation. What about you?

경은: 저는 이번에 베트남 가요. 다낭에 갈 거예요.
Kyeong-Eun: I’m going to Vietnam. I’m going to Da Nang.

주연: 우와! 부러워요.
Jooyeon: Wow! I’m jealous.

경은: 한국 사람들은 거의 다 여름에 휴가를 가는 것 같아요.
Kyeong-Eun: I think most Koreans go on vacation in the summer.

주연: 맞아요. 대부분이 여름에만 휴가를 쓸 수 있어요.
Jooyeon: Right. Most people can only use their vacation in the summer.

경은: 보통 한국 회사에 다니면 3~5일 정도 여름휴가를 갈 수 있어요.
Kyeong-Eun: Usually if you work for a Korean company, you can only go on vacation for 3-5 days.

주연: 맞아요. 다른 계절에는 휴가를 쓸 수 없어요.
Jooyeon: Right. You can’t use your vacation days in other seasons.

경은: 보통 7월이나 8월에 여름휴가를 가요.
Kyeong-Eun: Usually they go on summer vacation in July or August.

주연: 그래서 여름휴가를 가면 사람이 정말 많아요. 그리고 모든 것이 비싸요.
Jooyeon: That’s why if you go on a summer vacation, there are so many people. And everything is expensive.

경은: 맞아요. 그게 너무 싫어요.
Kyeong-Eun: Right. I hate that.

주연: 그럼 다른 때 휴가를 못 가요?
Jooyeon: So people can’t go on vacation at other times?

경은: 대부분의 회사는 다른 때 휴가를 못 가요.
Kyeong-Eun: People in the majority of companies can’t go on vacation at other times.

주연: 우리 회사는 휴가를 아무 때나 쓸 수 있어서 너무 좋아요.
Jooyeon: It’s so nice that we can use our vacation days whenever we want.

경은: 네. 그럼 주연 씨는 언제 휴가 가요?
Kyeong-Eun: Yes, it is. So when are you going on vacation?

주연: 저는 9월에 휴가 가요.
Jooyeon: I’m going on vacation in September.

경은: 어디로 가요?
Kyeong-Eun: Where are you going?

주연: 스페인에 갈 거예요.
Jooyeon: I’m going to Spain.

경은: 우와! 정말 부러워요.
Kyeong-Eun: Wow! I’m so jealous.

주연: 네. 너무 기대돼요.
Jooyeon: Yeah. I’m so excited.
