to be sweet
Ex)
설탕이 달다 (dictionary form) = sugar is sweet
초콜릿이 달다 (dictionary form) = chocolate is sweet
이 초콜릿 정말 달아요. (formal language) = This chocolate is very sweet.
이 초콜릿 정말 달다! (casual language) = This chocolate is very sweet!
달콤하다
1. to be sweet to a pleasant extent
Ex)
이 마카롱 달콤해요! (formal language) = This macaron is sweet!
이 마카롱 달콤하다! (casual language) = This macaron is sweet!
2. to be comfortable and cozy
Ex)
달콤한 잠 = a sweet sleep
달콤한 휴식 = sweet rest
달콤한 잠에 빠지다 = to fall into a sweet sleep
달달하다
to be somewhat sweet (for food, atmosphere, voices, etc)
Ex)
분위기 달달하다. = (They) look so lovey-dovey. / What a lovey-dovey atmosphere.
달달한 목소리 = sweet voices/vocals
그 가수는 목소리가 정말 달달해요. = The singer’s vocal is so sweet.
