This lesson is about the one-syllable word “다.”
1st meaning: all
(similar to 모두, 전부)
다 했어요. = I’ve done all of it. / I’ve finished it.
벌써 다 먹었어요? = Have you already eaten all of it?
2nd meaning: almost
(similar to 거의)
다 왔어요. = We are almost there.
다 됐어요. 조금만 기다려 봐요. = It’s almost done. Please wait a little bit.
3rd meaning: describes one’s surprise and/or frustration
무슨 이런 경우가 다 있어요? = What kind of case is this? / How does something like this happen?
뭐 저런 사람이 다 있어? = What kind of person is he? / What kind of person does that?
